WHAT

Simply put, accreditation is a process of:

1.    Taking an in-depth look at one's school through an approved self-study.  The self-study looks at a criteria outlined by the ANSAA Policy Manual.

2.    Validation is the process of confirming the results of the self-study.  The validation team is made up of a variety of people with expertise in the various areas of the study.  Their task in part, is to say "yes" or "no" to the validity of the study.

3.    Accreditation is then granted for a period of up to seven years.

4.    To maintain accreditation, an annual report, along with the annual dues, must be filed by the school administrator.  The reports are reviewed and if satisfactory progress is being made, continual accreditation is granted.

5.    A new self-study and validation must be completed every seven years.

WHY

People will invest in a superior product, though some are seldom really sure what goes into that product to make it superior.

Parents will also invest in the education of their children if they can be assured that their child will receive the education necessary to become a whole person.

The Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association has been established to assure parents of a quality return for their investment.

A school that is accredited has the personnel, equipment, resources, and the general capability of providing those services that are needed for the education of their children.
