Process of Accreditation
Simply put, accreditation is a process of:
  1. Taking an in-depth look at one's school through an approved self-study that directly relates to educational standards outlined by the ANSAA
Policy Manual.   APPROVED LIST OF SELF- STUDY INSTRUMENTS--CLICK HERE
  2. Validation is the process of confirming the results of the self-study.  The validation team is made up of a variety of people with expertise in the various areas of the study.  Their task in part, is to validate the findings in the study.
  3. Accreditation is then granted for a period of seven years.
  4. To maintain accreditation, an annual report, along with the annual dues, must be filed by the school administrator.  The reports are reviewed and if satisfactory progress is being made, continual accreditation is granted.
  5. A new self-study and a site visit by a validation team must be completed every seven years.
*For specific information regarding ANSAA Membership and Initial Accreditation, see the Procedures for Membership page.
Purpose of Accreditation
People will invest in a superior product, though some are seldom sure what goes into the product to make it superior.  Parents will also invest in the education of their children if they can be assured that their child will receive the education necessary to become a whole person.  The Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association has been established to assure parents of a quality return for their investment.  A school that is accredited has the personnel, equipment, resources, and the general capability of providing those services that are needed for the education of their children.
